Little Note: This is something “new”. It’s all happening in the backstage of this system, what you’re seeing here is normal. At least it’s something new for me isn’t it?
People tend to give their best impression during the first day in school or work. At the same time, I want to give my best for my first post on this new site too. But too bad, I had a long day today and it’s making me sleepy.
So, what did I do today? Went to recce the MOE Diary Farm Campsite that we’re planning to use for the youth camp in December. The sun was burning me happily until I took out my arrow and shot it down as we were viewing the campsite.
One thing that was the most impressive was the Flying Fox station. It’s a very popular activity that almost everybody will like, ranging from a toddler to an old woman with heart problems. I mean, it will be the greatest joy for an old woman to die while playing flying fox – isn’t it?
After that, we went to Salvation Army which is located just next door. Their building is huge and amazing, they even have rooms like those in hotels and dormitories for rental. Somehow, I find their rates quite cheap for such a comfortable room and facilities.
That’s one of the room “apartments” that they have. It doesn’t look very cosy in photos because I’m not inside but if you’re there in person, I’m sure you will really love it.
This is one of the dormitories that they have. Overall, the place was clean and cosy. Unfortunately, we’re only booking their halls only. Maybe we can use this place for future camps. We still have one last place to cover, which is West Coast Park!
We’re going to have a BBQ here on 7 June. Looks like they just newly upgraded their pit area. There are only a total of 9 pits and they’re all clustered together at a location without the “fun-factor”.
Guys, don’t ever go near seawater. It’s a place where people spit and pee in. Look at the amount of dirt and rubbish in there. Alright fine, I admit – I’m just afraid of seawater. Nope, I’ve no bad experiences in the sea before. I’m just born scared of seawater. Don’t laugh at me please, try licking your elbows instead.
This place is amazingly windy (and also has a bad smell of seawater). I was almost blown away by the wind. But that wouldn’t happen, just like you can’t lick your elbows. Suddenly, there was this notice that caught my eye.
Enlarge it (you can do that with this and the rest of the photos by clicking it) and take a look. Don’t read the sentence and try to interpret the sign. This is what I’ve got:
“Guys, please wear your shorts when you’re fishing – you’re not allowed to fish with your thing out. Also, try not to use your own head as bait”.
