I had the Samsung Beat DJ phone to play with for the past one week.

When I first took the phone out from the box, the first thing that my mind said was -- this is cool! Because this phone doesn’t even look like a phone from the first look.
The first thing I did after powering on the phone was to test the sound quality. The phone is equipped with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower, an amplifier technology for mobile phones and I was really impressed by it. Watching one of the videos on the phone, I realised that it gives a surround sound feeling.
Ever seen a phone that gives surround sound with their onboard speakers? I’m not sure if they’re any out there but this was my first time experiencing such an impressive sound system on a phone.
The Samsung Beat DJ -- like many other phones out there -- is a touchscreen phone and is also a phone that’s centered around music. The reason why it’s called Beat DJ was because you can scratch your own music on the phone itself!
I was not able to test some of the other features of the phone but after browsing through the phone, I saw stuffs like YouTube on the phone so I’m guessing that the phone will be able to support viewing of YouTube videos on the phone.
The phone also has the GPS feature with Google Maps so you would be able to see your location on the phone if you happened to lose your way around.
And also with the accelerometer, you can rotate and view your videos in whatever direction you want to. For optimal sound experience it’s best to view it horizontally since the two stereo speakers are at the sides of the phone.

The phone uses a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera that has the smile detection features. Meaning, after you turn on the smile detection feature, the phone will snap a photo automatically whenever it detects someone smiling. I tried it with the ugliest smile I can give and it still works.
Howvever, the image quality was just average to me.
But since it was the ugliest smile I can give, I’m not going to post it up here. Overall, the phone was small and light (not comparing it to other phones) and the touchscreen was quite responsive. The only thing was that the surface of the phone makes it a little hard for you to slide your finger around sometimes.
If you’re the kind who go for music, this is the phone for you.

Wow…i didn’t know Samsung have this phone.
did you actually bought this phone?
Walau why you always got cool phones to try out one !
