• Plan A: Pick up a private Mass Communications diploma course.

With my current qualifications of NITEC in Info-Communication Technology, I have no idea what kind of decent job will I will holding in the future. Forget about decent jobs, I’ll probably have no chance to have a job in the relevant industry.

I’ve seen the syllabus of what the people are studying for their Diploma in the same course, I won’t stand a chance against the fresh graduates who are equipped with the latest knowledge when I finish serving my two years.

• Plan B: Slog it out in the IT industry.

I don’t mean to brag but I have this talent of picking up IT-related stuffs very easily, and getting good at it. Even the top student in my class wants me on his team for project works.

So if Plan A fails, I probably would just work my ass up in the industry I’m good at.

• Plan C: Setting up my own business.

This would actually be Plan B if I actually had the capital. But since I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, I’ll have to work for things that I want.

Truth be told, I actually have an idea (with some market research already done) to be put in placed. But since I have no rich parents nor rich friends who trust me enough, this plan will stay at the last of last.

So get ready to party like never before at Chunk Fest 2010 – it’s gonna be a real blast from the past!

There’s a thief (I have a problem spelling this word, keep writing it as “theif“) from my cabin in camp because my money has been stolen twice. The first time when I found out about it last month was when I was calculating my expenses for the week and realised I had $7 missing.

Yes, I keep track of my expenses with the help of an accounting software.

So, thinking that I had some expenses which I have overlooked (which is almost impossible), I brushed this $7 off by classifying it under “Unjustified Loss” under my accounts.

And then, it happened again last Friday. I had $20 in my wallet in the morning and by the evening, there was only one $10 note left. I didn’t do anything that day other than to observe the people in my cabin.

I didn’t want to make such a big issue over this incident so on Sunday night, I announced to everyone in my cabin that there’s a thief (Sucks, I wrote “theif” again) in our cabin and told everyone to be careful with their belongings. I also explained how I keep track of my expenses to most of them.

I’m now sure that whoever that person is, won’t touch my stuffs again. That announcement wasn’t really to tell everyone to be careful with their stuffs but to tell the culprit that I know about my loss.

I don’t really like making short posts like this one. Crap, this is not even a post. I just couldn’t resist posting such a cute picture of my favourite animal.

Okay, that’s it.

At this point of time, my eyelids are really heavy and I can barely stay awake.

That was until I chanced upon a friend’s Facebook profile and saw one of his recent photo uploads.

Thank you Simon Lee, you’re even better than coffee.

Happy 45^th Birthday Singapore.

There were also a lot of unhappiness and issues throughout the journey but there were the fun times too.

For the past few months, I’ve been asking myself this – Why am I so unlucky to be involved in this? Why is everybody enjoying themselves out on a Saturday while I’m standing under the hot sun doing something I don’t want to do.

Fast forward to today, with the actual Parade three days away. Quoting from what somebody told us – What first was an arrow aimed at you becomes a duty. Now, the duty becomes pride as you march into the Parade.

Through this journey, I’ve learnt that this Parade is not just a celebration or a show. This Parade is a message that goes out to the world, showing them how competent our Nation is. Do you know how difficult it is to have everyone synchronize their movements with sharp movements?

Just look at the Red Lions, Singapore’s Parachute Team. From the height they’re jumping from, they looked no bigger than my fingernail and they’re able to land into the Parade Square effortlessly. And that, sends out a strong message to the world about our Nation.

That is what I’ve learnt throughout the few months of journey and I look forward to march into the Parade on August 9.

Little Talk: I officially declare Liviu Librescu as a hero.

Went to play bowling at SAFRA Yishun last week. I used to bowl with my colleagues every Saturday night last year and therefore I had some playing experience. I wouldn’t say I’m good, but at least I can roll the ball straight down into the middle of the path 70% of the time.

Anyway, the point of this post isn’t to showcase how experienced I’m in the game. I want to introduce you the pair of bowling shoes which I wore on that day (provided by them with a fee).

I think I’m in love with this shoe. I wouldn’t mind wearing it out on the streets because I think it looks damn cool. I’m currently plotting with a group of  professionals on breaking into the place and steal the shoes.

Oh beautiful shoes, can’t wait to insert my feet into you again.
