Move On, Kuala Lumpur

Got back from fourth trip to Kuala Lumpur last evening and it was not the same Kuala Lumpur I once loved anymore.
Our favourite food street has elevated the prices to such an exorbitant level that I almost felt I was eating in Singapore. It was probably because of the amount of tourists that are coming to eat at that already touristy street (Jalan Alor).

This was taken during my December 2008 trip. It's a mobile food van that sells different varieties of food on sticks for which you can either boil or fry them with. In Malaysia, they call it Lok Lok. For this trip, I didn't each much Lok Lok because of the prices. It was really disappointing.
Maybe it's time for me to move on, away from the place whom I always looked up to as the heartbeat of Southeast Asia. I would probably go back again for another weekend gateaway, but I would probably just eat at the food court at the basement of Berjaya Times Square (which is so much cheaper).
